This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our extension and related services.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your Google account. This information is used to create and manage your Tailor account, track usage, and manage your subscription.

2.2 Photos You Upload

You upload a personal photo to use as the basis for virtual try-on generation. This photo is:

• Stored locally within the extension using Chrome's storage API
• Sent to our AI processing server only when you initiate a try-on
• Not permanently stored on our servers — images are discarded after generation
• Never shared with third parties

2.3 Product Images

When you click "Try On" on a product, the product image from the shopping website is sent to our server for AI processing. These images are not stored permanently.

2.4 Authentication Tokens

Firebase authentication tokens and refresh tokens are stored locally in the extension to maintain your sign-in session. These are never shared with third parties.

2.5 Usage Data

We track the number of virtual try-ons you perform to manage your subscription limits. We also log basic activity data (success/failure of try-on requests) for service reliability and debugging purposes.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect your browsing history
• We do not track your clicks, scrolls, or keystrokes
• We do not collect your location data
• We do not collect financial or payment information through the extension (payments are handled securely by Stripe on our website)
• We do not collect health information
• We do not read your personal communications

4. How We Use Your Information

• Authentication: To verify your identity and manage your account
• AI Processing: To generate virtual try-on images using your photo and the selected clothing item
• Usage Management: To track try-on usage against your subscription plan limits
• Service Improvement: To monitor and improve the reliability of our service

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third parties. Your data is only processed by:

• Google Firebase: For authentication and user data storage
• Google Gemini AI: For generating virtual try-on images (images are processed and not retained)
• Stripe: For payment processing (only on our website, not within the extension)

6. Data Storage & Security

• Your uploaded photo is stored locally within the Chrome extension using Chrome's built-in storage API
• Account information is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore
• All communication between the extension and our servers uses encrypted connections
• Authentication tokens are stored locally and automatically refreshed for security

7. Data Retention

Photos sent for AI processing are not permanently stored on our servers. Account information is retained as long as you maintain an active account. You can request deletion of your account data at any time by contacting us.

8. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Clear your uploaded photo at any time via the extension popup
• Sign out and revoke access at any time
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Uninstall the extension, which removes all locally stored data

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
